Who doesn’t love using natural cleaner recipes to clean your home?
I love essential oils and using them in our home!
My essential oil love began after using cloth diapers when my daughter was a month old.
We have avoided colds, stomach bugs, flus, and lots of other viruses using Young Living’s Thieves oil.
Now, I’m going to share my love of essential oils and natural cleaners I use throughout our house with you.
So here’s my top 3 favorite natural cleaner recipes.
Mattress Cleaner (I do bi-annually)
- Small mason jar (I use a pint jar)
- Mason jar lid & ring
- Baking soda
- 5-10 drops of favorite essential oil (I use lavender)
Begin by filling up the mason jar half full of baking soda.
Add your 5-10 drops of essential oil to the mix, put the lid on and shake it up.
Finish filling up the rest of the jar with baking soda.
Sprinkle the mix on your mattress and let it sit for a few hours.
Vacuum all up.
Ta-da! Now you have a fresh smelling mattress and baking soda helps takes moisture and odor out of it!
Floor cleaner (I use on my cheap linoleum floors)
- 5 drops of Lemon oil
- 5 drops of Orange oil
- 1/2 cup of borax
- sink full of warm water
Mix it up, mop your floors, and smell the freshness! I love how amazing my whole house smells after mopping the floors. AND not to mention that it cleans VERY well!
Natural fabric freshener
- small spray bottle
- 5 drops of Young Living Purification oil (or another similar brand)
- 1/2 cup of water
Spray that furniture or carpet down! Who needs fabreeze when you can use essential oils to get the smell out?! I swear by this stuff! Accidents happen every now and then around here but this will take the urine smell out of the carpet when your child has an accident or maybe you’re even house breaking a pet?
